Hotels, Transfers, and Life in Hyderabad During Your Treatment
- You are in Hyderabad for clinical work.
You are also a person, not a clinical case.
The governing principle
You are in Hyderabad for clinical work. You are also a person, not a clinical case. For the 10–14 days of each visit, we want you to be comfortable, well-fed, adequately entertained, and never once worried about logistics. This page describes how we deliver that.

The eight-hotel partner block
We have contract block rates with eight hotels across Banjara Hills, Jubilee Hills, and the HITEC City district. These are the only hotels we recommend; they are not the only good hotels in Hyderabad, but they are the ones where we have vetted service standards, established room-service routines, negotiated rates, and worked through enough edge cases (dietary requests, physical accessibility, spouse-accompanied-stays) that we can guarantee a good experience.
Tier 1, preferred partners (default assignment)
Tier 2, equivalent-standard alternatives
Tier 3, for longer stays or budget-conscious patients
You choose based on preference and case length. All eight have been inspected by our operations team within the last 12 months.
| Hotel | District | Our rate EUR/night |
|---|---|---|
| **Hyatt Place Hyderabad Banjara Hills** | Banjara Hills | €78 |
| **Courtyard by Marriott** | HITEC City | €77 |

Airport pickup and transfers
Arrival at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (HYD)
Your coordinator meets you at the arrivals kerb, personally. They hold a printed sign with your surname. You do not walk through the public arrivals hall alone.
The transfer vehicle is a Toyota Camry (for solo travellers or couples) or a Toyota Innova Crysta (for families of 3–5, or for patients with mobility needs). Both vehicles are:
- Air-conditioned (Hyderabad summer temperatures reach 42°C; this matters).
- Driven by chauffeurs vetted by our operations team and on our payroll, not a third-party rideshare.
- Equipped with bottled water, phone chargers (USB and Type C/F adapter plug-in available on request), and a small Italian-language welcome folder.
Transfer time: 35–50 minutes to any partner hotel, depending on traffic and destination.
Clinic transfers during treatment
Every clinic visit has a scheduled pickup from your hotel. Typical pickup is 30 minutes before your scheduled appointment. Return to the hotel after appointment is included; if you prefer to be dropped at a restaurant, shopping area, or sightseeing destination, we will accommodate at no extra charge.
Sightseeing days
One half-day of chauffeur-driven sightseeing per visit is included (covering things like Golconda Fort, Charminar, Chowmahalla Palace, Salar Jung Museum, the Birla Mandir, or the pearl market around Pathergatti for those who want to bring home Hyderabadi pearls). Additional sightseeing days can be arranged at €45 per half-day or €85 per full day, including driver, fuel, and air-conditioned vehicle.

Italian electrical plugs and adapter note
India uses the Type D and Type M plug standards (three round pins). Most hotels also provide universal sockets that accept Type C and Type F (the European continental standard used in Italy). Your Italian Type L plugs (three aligned pins, the traditional Italian standard) will not fit directly in most Indian sockets; you will need an adapter.
We provide one universal travel adapter in your hotel room welcome pack. If you need additional adapters for multiple devices (phone, laptop, camera), these are available from any Italian electronics store (MediaWorld, Euronics, Trony, Unieuro, Expert) or airport duty-free for €8–€15. Alternatively, any Indian pharmacy or electronics shop within walking distance of the partner hotels sells them for under €4.

The three-tier soft food protocol
Post-surgery, you will be on a soft diet. We have adapted the standard clinical protocol to Italian taste preferences through the partner hotel executive chefs. Each partner hotel has the tiered menu pre-loaded in their in-room dining system; you can order in Italian or English.
Tier A, immediate post-op (days 0–3)
Completely smooth, no chewing required.
- Pastina in brodo leggero (small pasta shapes, stelline, risoni, cooked soft in light broth).
- Vellutata (di patate, di carote, di zucca, di zucchine). Smooth, no chunks.
- Passato di verdure.
- Yogurt naturale (dahi in Indian terms, available plain at all partner hotels; Italian-style yogurt available at Taj Krishna and Park Hyatt on request).
- Budino al cioccolato or crema catalana for dessert.
- Mousse di ricotta (the partner hotels can prepare).
- Compota di frutta senza pezzi (apple, pear, peach smooth purée).
- Cool, not cold, liquids. Ice is avoided for the first 48 hours.
Tier B, early healing (days 3–10)
Soft but with some structure.
- Risotto morbido (well-cooked risotto, alla parmigiana, ai funghi, alle verdure).
- Polenta morbida (soft polenta, with gorgonzola or parmigiano).
- Pasta cotta bene (pasta cooked slightly beyond al dente, with simple sauces, al pomodoro, al burro e salvia, al pesto).
- Uova strapazzate or frittata morbida.
- Pesce bianco al vapore (branzino, orata, merluzzo).
- Pollo al vapore sminuzzato.
- Ricotta fresca, mozzarella fresca, crescenza.
- Banana matura, pera matura, pesche mature sbucciate.
- Tiramisù senza savoiardi croccanti (mascarpone and coffee mousse layer only, which the pastry chef at Taj Krishna and Park Hyatt prepares on request for Italian patients).
Tier C, late healing (days 10–30 post-op)
Most foods, but still avoiding a few specific textures.
- Most pasta, bread-crumb coatings, most proteins.
- Verdure cotte.
- Carne tenera (pollo, pesce, vitello tenero).
- Formaggi morbidi e semi-stagionati.
- Avoid: grissini, taralli, crostini, pane con crosta molto dura (come la rosetta toscana tradizionale e la pagnotta pugliese a crosta spessa), noci intere, frutta secca dura, pizza bruciacchiata.
- Italian patients miss crunchy bread most in this period. We have pre-agreed with partner hotel bakeries to produce a soft-crust pane morbido (similar to pane all'olio morbido) that satisfies the daily bread habit without stressing the healing implants.
Tier D, from day 30 with final bridge (permanent lifelong diet)
Once your final monolithic zirconia bridge is fitted and integrated, you can eat almost normally. The permanent dietary restrictions are:
- Do not chew ice. Zirconia is hard but brittle under point impact. Chewing ice can cause micro-fractures.
- Do not use your teeth as tools. No opening bottle caps, no tearing open plastic packaging, no using teeth to pull off clothing tags.
- Be thoughtful with very hard foods for the first 6 months (whole walnuts with shell, very hard caramel sweets, pane con crosta bruciata, pizza bruciacchiata). After 6 months of integration, resume normal Italian diet including pane fresco, pizza, taralli, grissini.

The spouse-accompanied stay
For Italian patients travelling with a coniuge, compagno/compagna, figlio/figlia, we do not charge a second-person fee. Breakfast is included for two, transfers are arranged for two (subject to vehicle capacity), and we include a small allowance for the companion's non-clinical days (pool access, spa access, cultural programming). The companion's sightseeing can be arranged at the per-day rate mentioned above.
For Italian patients travelling alone, the companion option remains open: we can rebook the second person into a linked room on any of the partner hotels with 7 days' notice.

What to pack for Hyderabad, by month
Hyderabad is a relatively modern metropolitan city; for the healthcare environment and the partner hotel settings, you dress as you would in Milano or Napoli in equivalent weather. No special cultural clothing requirement. At religious sites (Charminar, Salar Jung Museum precincts), conservative cover for shoulders and knees is appreciated.
| Month | Weather | Italian-relevant packing note |
|---|---|---|
| Jan–Feb | Cool-warm (15–28°C) | Light layers. Evenings require a golfino leggero. |
| Mar–Apr | Warm (22–34°C) | Short sleeves, light colours. Comfortable sandals. |
| May–Jun | Hot (28–42°C) | Loose cotton. A leggero foulard for covering shoulders at religious sites. Sun hat. |
| Jul–Sep | Monsoon (25–32°C with humidity and rain) | A light waterproof jacket or umbrella. Quick-dry clothing. |
| Oct | Pleasant (22–32°C) | Our favourite travel month. Light layers. |
| Nov–Dec | Cool-warm (16–28°C) | Evenings can feel cool. One warm sweater. |

If something goes wrong with the hotel
If at any point during your stay something at the hotel is not right (room issue, a problem with the food, a problem with the staff, anything), you call your coordinator. We resolve the issue within 30 Hyderabad-daytime minutes, or we move you to a different partner hotel the same day (has happened twice in 924 cases; both times for reasons unrelated to the hotel itself, personal preference shift during the stay).
